Restricted merchandise is any object or good that, due to its nature, special characteristics or the use that may be given to it, requires a special authorization from a competent sector, to allow its entry or exit from the country. This means that their free movement within and through the national territory is conditioned to a state entity, independent of Customs, authorizing their entry or exit.
